Nigerian designer Chuks Collins launched The Athletic Side of Us (TASOU) at NYFW and also showcased iconic looks from his past collections. Featured as part of The Black in Fashion Council’s New York Fashion Week showcase presented by IMG, the digital fashion film presented during the event tells the story of Collins’ career in various chapters from high-end couture to his latest endeavor in TASOU.

The new brand allows each individual to define what athleticism means for them and is inspired by the sleek lines of New York City streets with the fractal geometric shapes and colors of ancient and current-day Nigeria, according to the collection notes. This is one collection which hits all the right notes — mixing energy, diversity, and eco-friendly design for all people, genders, races, and sizes
